Vietnam Maritime Corporation (MVN) was established on 29 April 1995 in accordance with Decision No. 250/TTg issued by the Prime Minister. Vinalines is managing and operating a shipping fleet of various types, including container ships, less than container load (LCL) ships, oil ships and others. Vinalines ship fleet occupies 31% of the national shipping capacity, including LCL ships of 73,000 DWT, container ships of 1,800 TEU and oil ships of 50,000 DWT.
