Petrovietnam Southern Gas Joint Stock Company (PGS), formerly known as Southern Gas Trading Enterprise, was established in 2000. In 2007, The company transformed its business model as a Joint Stock Company. Current charter capital is 500 billion. The main field of activity of the company is to supply gas, gasoline and lubricating oil. The company is a member of the Gas Corporation - a subsidiary of Vietnam Oil and Gas Corporation, so it has strong support from the corporation in terms of legal and financial mechanisms.
