Southern Seeds Joint Stock Company (SSC) was established in 1976. In 2002, the Company switched to operating under the joint-stock model. The main business activities of SSC are research, production, trading, import, and export of agricultural seeds and agricultural materials. The company is an official member of the Asia Pacific Seed Association (APSA). Along with focusing on developing hybrid rice varieties in the Northern market, SSC is also expanding the market in the Central and North Central regions.
