Vietnam Sea Transport and Chartering Company (VST) was established on June 25, 1975, on the base of taking over some fleets and shipping firms with old and ruined small ships and barges. In 12/2007, VST officially operated as a joint stock company, under Vietnam National Shipping Lines.
